Wireless card problem

My X220 seems to be not detecting a wireless card at all. I've been running off of a 3G USB modem so I haven't noticed it until now. But, a Lenovo alert popped up and said I was missing the PCI Serial Port driver and when I tried to run the auto update it didn't find anything. At the moment I'm not able to find any wireless networks despite the driver for my wifi card being updated and being in places where other computers are able to connect. Any idea what the missing driver is and if it will solve the fact that I'm unable to detect wireless networks?

Re: Wireless card problem

hey swhittem,

disconnect your 3G USB Modem. go to Device Manager and uninstall the driver for your X220's WIFI card.

Windows should then install its own generic WIFI driver. Once done, test it out.

later go to our support page via http://support.lenovo.com and download the WIFI drivers from there.
