I am running a D-Link 655Dir Router with WPA2/WPA enabled and not able to connect with the Cisco card.
I have searched the entire Lenovo site (so I think) as well as the net to NO avail. I can connect in non WPA environments and at home with WEP but not WPA. All Lenovo system updates and windows are current. I have resorted to a Belkin wireless card for home but would much prefer updating the Cisco NIC. Also attempted to get update from Cisco however their site has restricted access even once registered.
X31 - 2672 PXU
Driver 5/4/2004 - 3.8.26.0

welcome to the forum!
your cisco card definitely supports WPA. is your d-link router set up to accept TKIP or AES encryption? make sure these match between your router and X31.
also, the latest driver for your cisco card can be found here. it's version 3.8.26.01 released on 8/27/2004. upgrading this might help.

Re-updated the driver, uninstalled the driver and allowed Windows to load on restart. This resulted in WZC again recognizing the NIC and the network as WPA2 and would connect but left me with a limited or no access message.
I have the router set up as both AES/TKIP and WPA/WPA2 and still nothing. What I did discover though was the router has a guest access network which I was able to program to WEP for the cisco card which is working now. This is simply a work around and still leaves the WPA setup a problem.

Erik, thank you for you comments....persisted with repeated uninstall and install finally resulting in WPA2 functioning properly in WZC. Deleting the entire file and uninstalling the driver allowed for a clean install which ultimately worked. Thank you so much for your help.

Hello,
I have a similar problem - X31 2672 but the wireless adapter is "Intel pro/1000MT Mobile Connection". Same DLink 655 router, set up with WPA2 / AES. Other laptops can connect ok but not this X31. Cannot even see the network. But if the router is configured to WEP, or no encryption, X31 can connect without problem. The driver provider is Intel, dated 10/26/2004, driver version is 7.2.17.101. Anyone can help ?

that's a gigabit ethernet adapter, not a wireless adapter. you're trying to change settings on the wrong device.
