I just bought a ThinkPad X121e (3051-5QG) together with an Intel 310 SSD for the PCIexpress mini connector.
It is not recognized by the BIOS as an availlable drive nor by any OS. Is the SSD defect or does the X121e motherboard for the AMD CPU just not support mSATA drives like the one above?
Could a PCIe SSD with integrated controller like the SuperTalent CoreStore MV be an option?
(I explicitly want to use an PCIe SSD, if possible)
Thanks for anwering :-)

I guess only LENOVO engineers can give you the appropriate answer.

Hello,
I was under the impression that mSATA support was only available using Intel chipsets. I tried searching AMD's web site for "mSATA" and it came back with no results....

Hi Guys,
Could be right. Perhaps mSATA works only with INTEL Chipset. My MB is with AMD Chipset equipped.
