Hi all, i'm getting a little desperate here..
I got the X200 7458-CTO three years ago, installed winxpxp2 with a usb stick and installed all drivers. no problem, everything worked fine. One month ago I reinstalled with winxpsp3, downloaded the latest drivers, but i have problems getting the wlan to run.
There are no WLAN options in my bios
The mobile connections switch is ON
Device Manager says: Intel WiFi Link 5100 AGN
FN+F5: I just see the Bluetooth Radio
It seems as if the WLAN radio has no power, but i can't power it on.
Do you have any suggestions?
Lenovo support just sends me link to drivers, they have no clue.

You should have two places in BIOS for WLAN.
Under Config, then Network, at the bottom you should have an option for WIreless Radios to be On.
Under Security, then IO Port Access, Wireless LAN should be Enabled.
Now the card is showing up in Device Manager? If so, then that mean the driver is installed at a base level. But not showing up in Fn+F5 usually means that the full driver install with the supporting software didn't get installed.
I suggest downloading the driver package again and reinstall.
The driver is available here:

Be sure to folow in the installation instructions in the README, otherwise the situation you have now can occur.
