My X200 was recently working fine, no hints of any coming problems. However, I recently returned home and was disappointed to find my laptop will not turn on anymore.
When plugged in, no charging/battery indicator lights come on, and the power button elicits no response no matter how hard/repeatedly pressed.
Does this sound like my power source is shot? Is it repairable?
I will be replacing the power cord to ensure it's not that, however I doubt that's the problem as I should have had some battery charge to use even if the cord was faulty.

Hello mate,
Try that :
Unplug the power cord and the battery.
Press the 'Power' Button 10 times repeatedly.
Then hold the 'Power' Button down for 25 seconds.
Put the battery back in and plug the power cord back in.
Turn on the system.
Keep us posted.

Quite embarrassing... After pulling the battery this time, it works? I'm not complaining, but indeed it's strange.
Nonetheless, thanks very much for your help. Hopefully that's the end of these woes. Might be time to replace that battery I think.

Amazing! It worked! Vince, how do you explain this -- what went wrong?
Thanks.
