The headphones work, but the speakers on the computer no longer work. I don't know why, all of a sudden it stopped working. I've tried searching the forums and installed the latest drivers. I don't know why it doesn't work anymore. Please help.

I have one more day of warranty and I'm seriously debating whether or not to extend it in order to fix this issue. I'm not sure if it's a hardware issue or a driver/software issue.
I'm also going to try to post this in the KB forum too.

Figured out the problem and have a fix for it. (Mind you I updated to the latest drivers first!)
Basically the new driver has a more than one option of sound output and you need to enable both of them.
Here is how I did it,
Control Panel => SMART AUDIO
On the bottom, select the AUDIO DIRECTOR. From there you will have 2 options to select from the CLASSIC (outputs sound only via headphones) and MULTI-STREAM (outputs sound to speakers). I just changed from the CLASSIC option to the MULTI-STREAM and it works. After that, the volume mixer in the SMART AUDIO tab will have options to control both the speaker and headphones independently.
