Having noticed there's a free, unused mini PCIe port inside my X200s (model 7469CTO), I was wondering...
1.) Does the latest BIOS support booting from a SATA II controller add-in card?
2.) Would I hit any unexpected limitations, such as a BIOS whitelist limiting upgrade options to known Lenovo device IDs?
The add-in card in question is unique on the market as it is combining both a high performance Indilinx controller (~260/160 MB/s read/write) with a SATA II chip on a PCB that is ready to plug into any willing mini PCIe slot. It would deliver a huge speed boost while at the same time keeping the regular 2,5" HDD for storage purposes, turning the X200s into a powerful jack of all trades device.
