I just got my first Lenovo laptop today -- the Thinkpad X201.
It's very fast, but the screen acts strangely. When I increase the brightness all the way and look at it straight on, it's still rather dim. In fact, there is something like a fuzzy dim diagonal band that moves along the display as I look at it directly moving from left to right.
But when I look at the display from the side, at a 45 degree angle, the brightness is perfectly fine. It's when I look at it directly that it's too dim, along with the fact that the dim region goes across the screen in an diagonal band.
Does anyone else experience this? Should I return and exchange the laptop?
