X201 screen replacement to 1440x900

Hello,

I have an X201 3680 VGU with the standard 1200x800 resolution. I would like to upgrade to 1440x900.

Can somebody find me the exact typenumber to get? Cause i have been searching the inet but can't find the correct screen.

i found one reference to a 1440x900 lcd in a x20x: p/n 42T0480

You would need to change the entire screen assembly including the LCD casing.

just asking but why should i need the whole entire casing to be changed?

any link where i can order it... i really cant find it on the inet.

Ok, i found out why u need to replace the whole cover. The 1200x800 screen has some metal "support" on the side wich connect with the hinges wich the 1440x900 doesn't have. Also the inside of the screen is totally different.

I think it will be pretty expensive to replace all that parts...

I'm just gonna keep my 1200x800 resolution.
