Hi bruce7, and welcome to the Lenovo User Community!

 

Yes you just set the ATA password in the BIOS. You can't access the disk without it. I used to used BitLocker but not on this SSD. Check out the Security Features Brief here:

That gives me some peace of mind knowing that my data are encrypted in the event that it is stolen.
