JNavas,
Interesting finding. I just re-ran my WEI score (I never re-ran after upgrading ram) and basically got the exact same scores you got with the 90W adapter, except I have the standard 65W adapter. All my drivers are current from TVSU, I never installed any others.

g Config: X220 i7-2620M, 8GB, OCZ Vertex2 240GB SSD, IPS, USB 3.0, BT, 720P Cam, Intel 6205 WiFi, Win7 64 Home Premium Lenovo preload, Bios 1.16
Could perhaps the few extra trinkets you have in yours, mSATA SSD, 7200rpm HDD, FP Reader be drawing just a little extra juice that yours throttles down with the 65W adapter?
Isn't real data wonderful?!
Thanks!
The most obvious difference between our two systems is BIOS, 1.19 for me (updated my post) versus 1.16 for you, which might be a factor.
The power differences of our configurations might also be a factor, but my configuration should still be within the designed power budget of the X220, since that same slot is also used for WWAN, which I think consumes more power than my mSATA SSD. (My hard disk, which isn't used in WEI, is drawing less than a watt.)

Hehe yeah I'm sure it's not something you wanted to hear, but in your case you have concrete evidence that 65W vs 90W solves your issues.

JNavas, I am surprised, that you like his and your data as well as the implications of them as it is the exact same thing that has been stated many times and that I tried to explain to you in points 1 and 4 ![]()
And regarding the difference of your systems: The biggest factor is the HDD both of you use. While you use a 7200 RPM HDD he uses an SSD. When both are under use the power consumption difference can be in the range of up to 3-8W (depending on the actual HDD you use, the Vertex 2 uses around 0.7W under heavy usage) which of course could lead to a power consumption below or above the 65W. As you use the msata SSD as your main drive you could detach the additional 7200 rpm HDD and make the WEI then with the 65W adapter.
Best regards

TO LENOVO:
If you do not contact me and fix my problem, I will make it my personal goal to advertize your incompetence to all websites / blogs ect
I can't stand this....I try to play Starcraft 2 (on low settings). Same with other light games.
It runs very smooth, then drops to 8 FPS. Then back up to 40s, then back to 8....
Resource monitor shows the cpu throttling it's speed up and down.
It's the end of august, where is that promised BIOS fix ????

Really appreciated if Lenovo can have the Bios updated ![]()

All,
We anticipated having the BIOS update released to our web team on 8/26. With some additional testing and updates (as BIOS updates may target multiple issues) the anticipated release date is now 9/5. Assuming that is met, it should then be available for download within one or two days thereafter.
I know everyone has been waiting a long while and I really appreciate your patience on this - apologies for the further delay!

Mark, so when will we be receiving our paychecks for Beta Testing your products?

Nice to have a statement on that. Im fine with 9/5 release, better than "at the end of the month" so we all get nervous while the "end of the month" gets closer :-D Now I can just stop visiting this thread every 2 hours :-D
@THS, I can totally understand how you feel, cause I`m one of those, who dont need a "gaming"-laptop, but still play some games and it really sucks when you paid that much money for such a gadget and then you are not able to play simple games due to a software bug.But in fact, although I get your point, I see your post "
TO LENOVO:
If you do not contact me and fix my problem[...]" as unprofessional. Someone who bought a professional device like this, shouldn´t write such a post.
I liked the one from 18bravo much better ![]()
-> "Mark, so when will we be receiving our paychecks for Beta Testing your products?"
made me smile ![]()
I aggree, it scratches on Lenovos "legendary Quality", but being able to fix that is in my opinion quality as well.
Lenovo´s doing a great job, but psst : Next time, hurry up a litte ![]()

Releasing a machine with such a basic problem that's still not fixed after months in the field,
resulting from a power supply that apparently doesn't have enough capacity to deliver full system
performance even with a charged battery installed, which isn't liketly to be fixed with a BIOS update,
is not my idea of a "great job" on "quality", much less "legendary [ThinkPad] quality".
