end of story.

The T520 and T420 do not throttle with 65W.And not just with 2410 also with 2520 i have nothing heard about throttle!
Throttling on the 65W adapter is actually an old issue, described on the T61 here, and exhibited on my own T61p.
What's apparently different with the X220 is throttling even with the battery installed and fully charged.

[shrug] You're comparing apples and oranges.

Hello again. I just published a thread about performance due to bender's advice.
It worked great but my cpu still doesent go up to 3,2 ghz and still falls to 786 or smth.
So I (still) want the update (coming end of this month?) as well.
Now i just received my 90Watt adapter, sadly I have to announce that there is no improvement. It may be, that there would be an improvement with the old intel driver, but after actualising it, changing the adapter does not show any effect.
I hope, that its a softwareproblem, and that its going to be solved with the bios update.
That would mean, no "free 90Watt adapters" for all users, which would make lenovo a bit unhappy.
WEI with 90W and new intel driver (I think its the same as with new intel and 65Watt)

After reading Bender's post, I downloaded the new Intel 2476 drivers. I re-ran WEI and also got 6.4/6.4 for Dektop/3D graphic scores. My previous scores were 4.7 and 6.2. AWESOME! Thanks again Bender! I'm glad that Intel is actively upgrading these drivers. Can't wait till they get it 100% final. 6.4/6.4 is pretty dang impressive for on-chip graphics!
So as it stands now, my score is 7.1 / 7.5 / 6.4 / 6.4 / 7.7.
