X300 Noisy Space Key

The X300 keyboard is a dream but the space key is very noisy when depressed. Does anyone know of a way to soften the noise of the space key?

My space key is loundest when I press it on the right-hand side, softest when I press it on the left-hand side... don't know if this is just manufacturing variance or a design issue.  That said, my space key is slightly louder than the other keys, but not really noticably "loud" in a problematic sense.... is your unusually loud?

Sam,

Thank you for noticing. You are correct, it is not terribly loud. The problem is that the rest of the key are almost completely silent so the space key sound sticks out. Since I usually type in a completely silent environment, it does bother bother me. I am not sure that replacing the key will solve the problem. You are also correct that the right side is louder than the left side of the key, but I am right handed.
