prolems with Office and Vista vs XP

Having installed Office 2003, whenever I access an application I am greeted by an end user acceptance screen. My Thinkpad appeared to register me automatically when I installed Office, and I would have expected this screen to be generated just the once - it appears not; any clues

Lastly, I understand that I may get much better performance by offloading Vista and putting XP Pro on - is this correct? If so, does doing this erase all the setup work already done? Is it tricky to do?

AFAIK, users of Vista Business should have received (or can get) free downgrades to Windows XP.

XP will certainly run smoother and faster.

By installing XP, you will have to set everything up from scratch again.

In Office 2007, you can click on the Microsoft Office button (icon in top left corner)| program Options button| the Resources tab on the left and hit the activate Microsoft Office button.

See if that applies in 2003 as well.
