Hi,
I got several problemes with my x220.
First when I got it, I installed win7 64bit the normal way (with BIOS)
everythin worked (except the very loud fan, which I can control fine with tpfancontrol)
but then I decided to install win7 again, but this time in UEFI mode.
Everything was as it was befor, but I could not get the fingerprint reader to work. it is in in the windows manager, but I cannot acces it via the lenovo programm.
the second problem is, that I only can reach 800MHz with the cpu.
on the normal BIOS installation of win7 I got a windows rating of 7.1
now I only got 3.4 points. that's why I downloaded cpu-z, which has shown me a speed of 800MHz (with battery manager in "full performance"-mode)
in another german board are some others with exact the same problems after the UEFI installation.
does anybody know how to fix this?
thx
edit: ok, I found out that there is a general problem with the cpu @ 800MHz.
but fingerprint reader is still not working

Fingerprint drivers don't work in UEFI (as should be obvious to you)

so will there be a driver update soon or is there a general problem with the fingerprint reader and the UEFI?

also having problems with fingerprint reader in ufei mode. shows up fine in device manager, no errors. when starting the program and trying to enroll a finger i get an error 'fingerprint reader not found.'
fan also throttling up/down, even at idle. the 3rd party fan manager everyone's referring to fixes this.
extended warranty not accurately reflected online.
thanks.

Regarding the UEFI fingerprint reader, this thread could be of interest to you:

interesting - thanks for the link! i'm gonna wait till an official fix comes out. fingerprints just make me lazy/forgetful.
after spending 30 minutes trying to un-bluescreen my machine after updating power manager from 3.48 to 3.52 (system restore saved me), i'm a little gunshy of trying the latest and greatest.
uefi seems like the wild west. i need this thing to work for work.
