I picked up a barely used x120e today with 4gb of ram and stuffed a Corsair F40 SSD in it. Looks like the previous owner had already upgraded the BIOS on the laptop so I went ahead and installed Win7 x64 Professional and the machine runs fine, but if I close the lid and wake it then it will BSOD right away. Is this a known issue with SSDs or is it something else?
Thanks

Tested again and mine will wake to the Windows 7 login screen, but when I try to login it then throws the BSOD.
I will check that post out now.
Thanks

Apparently a known issue, I just can't seem to have any luck with SSDs. ![]()

Ok, anyone with this problem - don't use hibernate. The system can't resume from hibernate and gets stuck in a loop of saying press enter to reboot. Looks like I get to reformat again.

I suppose there's a reason anyone that wants quality and reliability hits up Intel SSDs for fewer hassles. I have absolutely no problems with regards to sleep/hibernate with my Intel SSD 320 Series. This is with everything updated as far as I can take it, including AMD SATA drivers and whatnot.

I think for my next SSD, I will go with an Intel one as well... A bit more expensive, but I think they have the resources to do proper quality testing on them.
