x120e Inferior Quality Materials and Finish?

[ Edited ]

Hi,

My x120e just got delivered to me.

After unboxing the laptop, I noticed a horizontal bump right in the centre of the lid. It's more prominent when you tilt the laptop a little and view the lid from an angle.

Can fellow x120e owners confirm if this is standard in x120e or some manufacturing defect in my particular unit.

It's sad if this is standard in all x120e as it is not fit to call it a thinkpad then.. Asthetically, it looks very bad. Posting the pictures. Hope the pictures do justice.

MY X100e was perfectly flat, surely it's a manufacturing issue, likely some antenna cables not routed correctly...

I don't recall my X120e having such a bump. I no longer have it though.

Not found on my X100e. Looks like a manufacturing defect.

I have an X120e (Machine type 05962RU) that has the same faint 'bump' - I would not worry too much about it.
