x120e Stuttering Audio

Ran the latencymon Found the following with the highest ISR count

hal.dll, i8042prt.sys, storport.sys,USBPORT.SYS, ndis.sys, ACPI.sys

It does say that the system appears to be suitable for playing real time audio without dropouts.

Too bad my laptop sounds like a electric bug catcher. ZAP!  What can be done?

Ugh,

It's really bad on my x120e.  Podcasts, Videos, anything with audio stutters every 1-2 mins.

Emailing Lenovo about getting a refund...

This x120e was suppose to replace my s12 atom (non-ion) which occasionally gave me a blue screen of death.  I managed to look past that since it occured every month or so.  But this is just absurd....

I got about 24 hours of use in before the stuttering audio appeared. This is especially problematic for me because I primarily use this computer for managing my music collection.  I tried reinstalling the audio driver and that did not work.

 I was noticing how slow the power management software loads, and decided to do away with it, as well as a few other Lenovo programs (but I don't think deleting those had anything to do with the fix). MY AUDIO NO LONGER STUTTERS. I'm pretty sure the power management software was to blame, but I'd like to wait a few stutterless days before declaring that fact.

EDIT: Computer stills stutters after being awakened from sleep, but less frequently with the lack of lenovo power manager.

Power Manager or Power Management? They're two wholly different things.

Try downloading the 11.2 Catalyst Southbridge drivers?

Power manager I think. It's gone now so I have no way of knowing for sure what the program was called. I also deleted the lenovo toolbar program that was next to the lenovo power manager on the taskbar, but deleting the lenovo power manager program and going back to the windows power manager has completely fixed the problem. I've noticed that all of the Lenovo software seems slow and somewhat buggy. I guess that's what happens when hardware people try to develop software.

The Audio Stuttering issue happens to me when I put the x120e to sleep and wake it up.  Without fail it'll start having the audio issue.  There is no problem with audio playback until I put the laptop to sleep. 

For those who have cured it by deleting / uninstalling Power Manager, can you try putting the X120e to sleep and waking it up to see if the Audio Stutters?

P.S. Restarting the laptop seem to fix the issue until I put it sleep again.

I checked with DPC latency checker, and it seems like the problem is with Wireless lan/Bluetooth.

If I turn the Wireless radio off, the latency comes back to normal.

They should do something with the Wireless driver so it can settle.

With LatencyMon, the highest few ISR counts are:
hal.dll (crazy high)
HDAudBus (Audio, I guess)
storport (What's this?)
USBPOT.sys
i8042prt.sys (Wireless i guess?)
ndis.sys

That's about it.

I slept it and woke it, and the stuttering came back. It's much less frequent than before, but back nonetheless. Before it was once every minute, and now it's about once every five minutes. So the power manager adds to the problem, but is not the problem itself. Hmmmm...
