Hi my centre trackpad scroller button doesn't work. When I press it the cursor changes to the scroller pic but thats about it. What am I missing here? It works as a magnifier though.
Help help thanks

In the Ultranav control panel tab, under the trackpoint settings, I assume you have "Scrolling" selected. If you go to "Settings" in the dialog box, you can set scolling to either standard or smooth, which do you have it set on? Whichever it is, try the other option (don't do auto-select).

Hi I've tried both standard and smooth and it still wont work I'm afraid.

Hmm... I have mine set to smooth scrolling, I hit the middle button in an app (like firefox), the circle scrolling cursor comes up, then I move the trackpoint up or down to scroll. What part is not happening for you?

Hi yes the scrolling cursor comes up but then I press the bottom bit of the middle button to scroll down and nothing happens.

The middle button is just a button -- it's not a rocker. To actually scroll, you have to use the trackpoint (the red nub) once the scrolling cursor comes up.

clicq: something to note is that it doesn't change to a scrolling icon all the time for some reason. Some bug of some sort
edit: nevermind, actually it's something in Firefox 4. It changes when trying to scroll over the desktop but stays in regular mouse icon when scrolling in FF

Thank you so much this solved it. I'm an IBM Thinkpad newbie and I didn't realise thats how it worked. I had thought it was a rocker.
