Hi,
I just bought a x121e (Product Code 30515QG) and I am having problems with the display quality.
Setting it to the only available high resolution of 1024x768 everything seems to be distorted. Every circular icon looks elliptic... Same with the only other available setting of 800x600.
Am I missing a driver or what could be the problem?
Any help appreciated...
Thanks, Falk

Thanks for the reply!
I have run the ThinkVantage Applikation a number of times, and it now says, that there ain't any further updates.
Problem still remains.
I bought the machine with just DOS installed - and obviously a lot of drivers missing.
I then installed Windows 7 Professional, used another machine to get the Wireless and Ethernet drivers, installed ThinkVantage and ran it. Everything worked out fine... ...apart from the resolution.
Unless I find the exact driver, I don't think I will solve this problem. Any idea where I could get help?

Hi there,
Under your configuration settings you should be able to find 'Intell media control' (or something like that). If you click it you'll have to search for the option 'scaling' in relation to your screen. My guess is that if you uncheck this option your problem should be solved.

Have you installed the LCD driver yet? I know it's primary purpose is usually just the ICC profiles and whatnot, but it also defines the maximum resolution the monitor can take if for some reason no/incorrect DCC info is being passed back to the graphics chip.
