x201i Battery movement issue

Hello,

I recently bought a x201i (3249MDU) with 6-cell battery and I am seeing a slight movement on the battery. The battery giggles about 1-1.5mm. Could someone please tell me if this is a issue with x201 or do i need to have this battery replaced that fits perfectly with the movement. Note: The battery works fine and have not seen any loss of power due to the movement, but it does kinda make me uncomfortable. Thank you.

Regards,

Re: x201i Battery movement issue

Sorry I wish I had better news but your unit is not a one off bad batch of stupidity,

Yep they do not fit correctly !! and they have a lot of play in them, this is due to the fact they only have one lock holding the battery in place, most other manufactures have one on either side.

You really have to wonder considering how tough a market exists for laptops that such an obvious flaw managed to make it though quality control. Even more mysterious considering this is not an inexpensive laptop, if it was a typical dirt cheap netbook you might be forgiven for the lack of consideration to the quality of the unit.

This is a major quality fail and I might add not very many reviews picked this fault up hmmmm isn't that interesting...
