x220 IPS screen flickering [ Edited ]

Six months old x220 started acting up. A very clear vertical column appeared.

I'm gonna contact support on Monday.

The flickering appears randomly and always when I touch the bottom end of the screen or adjust the tilt of the screen.

Specs:

i7-2620M (2.7GHz), 8GB, 120GB mSATA SSD + 320GB 72,

12.5" HD Premium LED 1366x768, Intel HD 3000, a/g/n WLAN

64-bit Win Professional

Anyone else had this kind of problem?

this is most likely a broken control board or loose connection cable. So you would need warranty on it.

Okay, thanks for the information. Yeah I have warranty.

And guess I'll now find out how it works internationally in Europe as I live in Finland and bought the laptop from Germany...

So UPS picked the laptop up and a week later I have it back and everything appears to be working.

So 10/10 for service!
