x301 webcam gets disabled on win7

The only solution so far is to remove all USB host controller and let windows reinstall things. That worked for a bit, but then the webcam got disabled again. Is there any other solution?

have you tried the webcam driver version 1.32.500.0 ? if not, kindly do so.

at the same time, try uninstalling the graphic driver for your unit. also when the webcam gets disabled .. when does it get disabled? when using a software? when windows starts ?

I have been travelling for six months and back now. I still haven't been able to get my webcam working with win7-32bit. I tried doing a fresh win7 install and it didn't help.
I also can't see the integrated webcam driver in device manager under imaging devices ! ???
I tried installing v 1.32.500 and when it goes to install, it begins and then the windows just closes after a few seconds and nothing gets installed.
Any other suggestions ?

download thinkvantage system update, it should install all the necessary drivers for you.

I tried that it doesn't help. The cam website soft installs half way and then the installing window disappears half way through the installation. ???

I launched a service call with Lenovo here in Australia. I'll see if they can fix it over the phone tomorrow and will report back as soon as I get it fixed. I may have to bring it into their service center.

If all things fail just reinstall the OS from scratch.
