x61+ultrabase cooling

Hi everyone,

I use x61+ultrabase at work, and it seems heat is trapped between the two.
It seems the notebook gets hotter than when used alone.

Is there any way to add a cooler to this combination?
I believe those notebook colling stands won't help since it's not the bottom of ultrabase
That is overheating.

I have a lot of heat-related problems with my X61

If using your X61 with the ultra base also means you are using it on a LAN, try setting the speed to 100Mbit - if you use Gigabit, that makes for more heat

Big screens also make it hotter (it has to work harder to draw the screen) - so if your ultrabase is used with a 1920x1200 display, consider a smaller screen

I'm really interested in feedback from other people about whether later models (such as the X220) are plagued by the same problems.

my X61 with the T8100 CPU is performing lot better then the T7xxx version my friend has. It doesn't overheat as frequently as the T7xxx CPU model when i dock the machine.
