control panel --> All Control Panel Items --> power options --> tab Lenovo Energy Management
click on Enable Button
This time i show you the latest Version 6.016 that works with all Ideapad systems running Windows 7
Lenovo Energy Management i will use shortcut LEM
provides a fast switch with 4 predefined energy plans ..
symbolizes through four icons if enlighted orange is set to active
Starting with Energy Star
Energy Star High Performance Balanced Super Energy Saver ..a Config button
each of these schemes comes with 2 setting tabs display & system,
devided in When running on AC Power & When running on battery...
Pre-Settings should be set new for all schemes ...
When running on AC power, its not convenient, that when iam pause working to reduce power or dim display..
ive set all of them to never...other settings choose your own "best" or leave setting as is...

When you choose this scheme the first time , you got this Attention message ..

if you got no sound , first look here if you set off, and forgot to switch on ..

Thats it ...There is no more other settings for Lenovo Energy Management ...
Windows power settings there are a few to you have to keep an eye on it or to manage either.
Important ... Power and sleep buttons and lid settings...
windows default is all sleep ... i prefer to set these more different ...
additional windows power option let you create a power plan , but will not add an extra button in Lenovo Energy Manager , thats independed from LEM...
windows mobility center you can choose a power scheme or switch wireless off/on..near same as in LEM,
