While playing games like Counter Strike: GO, the load is roughly 95% and the clocks stay at 270/405 for core/memory. Under these conditions, the temp never exceeds 60C as well. Why does this happen? I am 100% ]]> Tue, 02 Oct 2012 09:55:56 +0000 https://forums.lenovo.com/topic/findpost/1282/879743/879743 aznwings <![CDATA[ Re: Lenovo U410 GeForce 610m Not Increasing Clocks Under Load ]]> https://forums.lenovo.com/topic/findpost/1282/879743/879859 Tue, 02 Oct 2012 12:23:43 +0000 https://forums.lenovo.com/topic/findpost/1282/879743/879859 lamecake <![CDATA[ Re: Lenovo U410 GeForce 610m Not Increasing Clocks Under Load ]]> https://forums.lenovo.com/topic/findpost/1282/879743/880111 I have already tried disabling the GPU and I cannot get comparable performance in any of the games I play when the 610m actually works (Some games are playable, but some are not. ie. Borderlands 2). If it still doesn't give you full clock speed then try changing PCI Express>Link State Power Management to "Off" from Control Panel>Power Options>Advan ]]>

<![CDATA[ Re: Lenovo U410 GeForce 610m Not Increasing Clocks Under Load ]]> https://forums.lenovo.com/topic/findpost/1282/879743/946329 I suggest you all to disable the swtiching Intel hd4000 and nVidia 610M because the latter is worse than Intel HD4000 in almost every task. So just disable it in BIOS and by the way disable the Lenovo Smart Update too, it comsumes a lot power for nothing (at least in my needs)

<![CDATA[ Re: Lenovo U410 GeForce 610m Not Increasing Clocks Under Load ]]> https://forums.lenovo.com/topic/findpost/1282/879743/947181 Did you not read my second post? The games I mainly play perform better with the NVidia 610M as I have tested. So it doesn't matter if the 610M is out-performed by the integrated graphics when it is ONLY slower in games that I don't even play.

Thank you for your suggestion though.

<![CDATA[ Re: Lenovo U410 GeForce 610m Not Increasing Clocks Under Load ]]> https://forums.lenovo.com/topic/findpost/1282/879743/947829 There are many games that are optimized for geforce that's why it runs faster.

I recommend using driver version 310.70beta because it's alot more stable compared to 306.97whql :)
