A 2010-a battery draining too fast

2019-06-16, 17:43 PM

I charge my lenovo a 2010-a to 100% and everything is fine, until it reach approx 50% of battery and then start to drain fast and in a few minutes its empty. Does anybody know the solution of this problem?

Its not problem of battery, 'cause i just bought a new one.

If you just bought the battery, it might be a good idea to cycle it (drain it). Let the battery fully drain until the laptop shuts down. Once it shuts down, press the power button. If the laptop turns on, let the battery drain again. If it doesn't turn on, hold the power button for about a minute, then plug in the charger and open up the laptop. See if the issue persists.

Lenovo a 2010-a is a smartphone, not laptop.

I have the same draining problem with first, originaly baterry, so i bought a new one (thinking the problem is an old battery) - but nothing changed with a new one - same problem with fast draining - could it be a software probleme?

My bad.

It could be a software issue. Do you have multiple apps running in the background? Does the same drain happen even when they're all closed?

Could you provide a battery graph?

I dont think its a problem of running apps, because everyrhing is normal, battery is draining normal speed when it is full, but after it reach a half capacity, its starts to drain faster.

When it goes to 0 percent, can you still use the phone (If it shuts down try to turn it back on without plugging it in)?

Try some of these recommendations:
http://www.iphoneanddroid.com/tutorials/how-to-resolve-fast-battery-draining-issue-on-android-smartphone.html

https://www.helpforsmartphone.com/public/en/lenovo/a2010/android-5-1/guides/14/Extend-battery-life-Lenovo-A2010

The first link is trying to see if there's a specific app causing the issue, the second one is general battery saving advice.

It's possible that it only seems like it's draining at 50% because of bad battery reads. Might be best to get the phone checked out, especially if it's under warranty.
