A6000 - Font not supporting Indic languages like Tamil

2015-03-13, 13:58 PM

A6000 - If I open a webpage which is at tamil unicode, it is rendered with plentry of junk characters. It is the case with all the browsers, Chrome, Firefox, Opera, UC Browser. Same issue on my friend's A6000. So it is confirmed, it is not a browser issue. I checked the same webpages on motorola and micromax mobiles. They are rendering perfect. Lenovo has to fix the issue.

Same with me. Telugu fonts in most apps are rendered hopelessly. I hope Lenovo fixes this. It's quite a basic necessity, especially when they're trying to sell the phone in india!!

Does anyone know a work around?

Uc browser is rendering telugu perfectly btw @dsivaa . Im sure it will work for other indic scripts too. But that's one case where the app has optimized it for lenovo. But in all other cases it's not working properly

Hi Abhi,

No success with UC browser for tamil. Opera mini is doing better with minimum error for Tamil. Thanks for your suggestion.

What is the use of buying Mobile which not supporting native language . I tried all browser . Tamil font is not supported. All Chinese and mangolian (who need it)language supporting. But there was no problems using Samsung and micromax. Any one want to buy new mobile need native language my advice go for Samsung and micomax. They support all indic language.
