There is a thread discussing BladeModeDetectService already.  Could we please keep discussion on that there and keep this thread purely about the update & update process please.

Thanks in advance

Re: KitKat roll-out for Yoga Tablets starting June

I've been trying up upgrade my Yoga 10 (US) to the new version since yesterday afternoon, with no success. I've tried 3 times now, and every time it downloads to 100%, after about 3+ hours of downloading, and dismissing a "No Network Connection" message every 10 minutes, and finally says "Sorry, an unknown error has occured, please quit and try again." I press "OK" and it closes my updater. I reopen it, and I have to redownload the entirupdate again... This whole process is Incredibly frustrating, and the download is just soooo slow, even on my Universitys enterprise network (80+MB/s download over WiFi). Any direct download links I could manually flash it with?

Re: KitKat roll-out for Yoga Tablets starting June

Hi,

I've being trying to upgrade a standard Yoga 10 (not the "+" version).  Have tried unsuccessfully 3 times, each time with the same rather strange problem.  The download gets to 100% 439MB/439MB but then it continues (lights on router still flashing) increasing the downloaded bytes count until it reaches 100% 443MB/439MB (which of course makes no sense).  It then suddenly drops back to 100% 439MB/439MB and continues downloading (lights still flashing) until, after several minutes, it says:

"Sorry, an error has occurred, please quit and try again".

I've tried it 3 times and it always does exactly the same.  Any ideas?

Its a standard (non-rooted) device, and I'm using settings->about tablet->system upgrade to perform the upgrade.  I did a factory reset before attempting the upgrade.  In case its relevant, I had to press continue a couple of times on each download because the connection to the server was broken, but it seemed to continue normally from where it left off.

Any suggestions much appreciated.

[I know I could flash a downloaded file but I'm I'm a bit concerned that I might not fully know the origins of the flash file]

Mickle was much more artiiculate in his post, but I'm in the exact same situation, except i'm located in the US. I did find the download link on pg 11 of this forum, but as he says, who knows what could have been added to the source code? I'm currently on my 4th try downloading OTA, but who knows if it'll be a successful result. Ill post again once I have any further results.

Maybe Lenovo could post the ROM on the download page of their Yoga 10 support?

It occurs to me but don't know if relevant. When I successfully installed
new update it rebooted and the usual android installation bot came up.
Perhaps issue is with reboot part of package. I would be tempted to reboot
manually at 100%.

Re: KitKat roll-out for Yoga Tablets starting June

This morning I got an update for Yoga 10 HD+, but... instead of longwaited Kitkat, I got a small update, less then 1Gb and now my tablet sais B8080_S003313_140611_ROW_WiFi

Now I am confused. Is this a downgrade? I remember that it was before _150someting and now it is 140611?

And why the older tablets update is already rolling, but not for the newer model?
