Re: Lenovo Yoga 10 Tablet - Factory Rom

I have same problem with yoga 10 tablet after long press of power button, boot up locks with LENOVO on screen and does not proceed. many people are clearly having the same problem. Is there anything I can do, or does it have to go back for repair /exchange?

Re: Lenovo Yoga 10 Tablet - Factory Rom

My issue is somewhat related in that I am attempting to re-calibrate my Touchscreen through the Recovery Console.  Unfortunately, the Recovery Console menu (entered by holding down Power and VolumeUp buttons for 30 sec) on my tablet dispays in Chinese.  I am in the United States and bought my unit directly from Amazon.com.   Is anyone else with a U.S. version experiencing the same Chinese Recovery Console menu?  By the way, if you enter the Recovery Console and yours is in a foreign language, you can press and hold the Power Button for about 15 sec until the unit reboots normally.

Re: Lenovo Yoga 10 Tablet - Factory Rom

Guys,

Anyone have a step-by-step guide to flash the factory rom?

I have everything downloaded (SP Tool, ROM, Drivers) and followed the indications on this topic but no luck.

I try to flash the rom (downloaded from the russian site) but the SP Tool cant connect to my tablet.

Guess the problem is the drivers, but cant figure how to install them.

Any help will be appreciated.

Re: Lenovo Yoga 10 Tablet - Factory Rom

Remember that scene in "Gravity" when Sandra Bullock climbs into the Chinese Re-Entry Vehicle and just guesses at what the buttons might do?

Here are the steps that appear to reset your Yoga back to factory settings using that Chinese menu.

Lean on the Volume Up button and power up the unit to get to the menu. Release the volume button.

Press the volume button towards the down position once to select the second menu item, then press the volume up button to select it....and sit back and wait. Be patient as it will take some time as it resets the machine back to the factory defaults and reboots.

Just like in the movie, there's always the chance that the heat shield might fail and you'll burn up like a piece of toast on re-entry/reboot.

Good Luck.

Re: Lenovo Yoga 10 Tablet - Factory Rom

Hello guys.

First of all I apologize for my english, is not very good.

This is mi history:

I rooted my device (Yoga 8) and I remove some system app's. When I do a factory reset througt recovery or Elvis way I don't get app's again, so I try to flash the ROM.

I saw the russian forum and this is I understood with translator help.

1. Download & install this driver (LenovoUsbDriver) with double click

2. Download & unzip this other driver (usb_driver_SW_rom)

3. Open device manager

4. Switch the tablet OFF to PC

5. PC should detect the tablet as Unknown Device

6. Then click on the device and go for "update driver"

7. Update driver with folder unziped on step 2.

...

I know the process must go on (like the show of Queen Smiley Tongue) but I have problen with step 5. My PC don't detect the tablet Smiley Sad

any suggestion, please

Thanks

Re: Lenovo Yoga 10 Tablet - Factory Rom

Hellow again.

I've made a little little progress.

1. Download & install this driver (LenovoUsbDriver) with double click

Here there are two ways

2.a Download & unzip this other driver (usb_driver_SW_rom) to install with device manager or

2.b Download & install this other driver with double click (SP_Flash_Tool_Driver_Auto_Installer_v1.1236.00.7z)

+++++++Only for 2.a+++++

3. Open device manager

4. Switch the tablet on META MODE (with tablet off press Volumen down + power button 5 or 10 seconds) to PC

5. PC detect two devices as MT65xx Android Phone and CDC Serial

6. Then click on the device (I tried both) and go for "update driver"

7. Update driver with folder unziped on step 2.a

After all this the device in "Device Manager" continue with a yellow symbol

administrador de dispositivos.png

I tried flash a ROM with SP Flash Tool and seems there's no communication betwen PC and tablet.

I also tried 2.b method but same thing

any help please
