I can see many people have had this problem but i cannot find any one who has given any solution.
I have followed every instruction extremely accurately but cannot get beyond pairing, well it will not allow me to pair.
The tablet can see the keyboard, Logitech K380, but it does not give me enough time to type in the pairing number code.
Software on tablet is up-to-date but it is only giving me a few seconds to type in the pairing number!!
anybody know a solution?

Same problem here with a Lenovo Tab 7 Essential running Android 7.0 and a K375 Keyboard.
Not enough time to type pairing code on keyboard, popup just flashes for a sec and then fades.
I was able to pairing the keyboard on safe mode.
1. Hold [Power] until power off popup shows up.
2. Tap and hold [Power off] until ask you to restart in safe mode.
3. Pair keyboard.
4. Restart device.
Hope it helps you.

Android Version 6.0.1 with an intel processor.
software version yt3-x905_170614
I cannot get safe mode at all, just the diagnostic option which looks like DOS.

Try this method to enter safe mode:
1) Power off (Ensure tablet is off)
2) Power on
3) When Lenovo logo appears quickcly press and hold [Volumen Down] till lock screen appears
If everything work, you'll see a "Safe Mode" legend on screen.
Restart to get off safe mode.
Hope this help.

once again thank you for your courteous reply.
Unfortunately when I do what you suggest I do not get 'safe mode' I get a screen that looks like DOS, picture attached.

That mode it's called Recovery Mode.
Try one last thing (I bet this is the correct one):
1) Power off completely.
2) Power on.
3) When Lenovo logo appears, quickly press and hold both volume buttons [VolumeUp] + [VolumeDown] till Android start's.
The third time's the charm!
Let me know if this works.

I originally had this same exact issue... and after checking software updates, I thought I did everything there is to be done....
than one day, I restarted the system, and now I happily use my bluetooth keyboard and mouse every day... turns out a turn off and on actually solves a lot of the yoga tab 3 pro issues

thank you that seems to have done something....
on the first try i got ( in the tiniest of letters) "dnx fastboot request is received... please release the buttom combo..."
and then in yellow text " dnx fastboot mode.." .....but then it just hung and didnt do anything for ages, so i held the power button and restarted it as normal.
tried again, hanging for ages, no indication of 'safe mode'?????
