After the latest system update my Yoga 2-1050L is not booting anymore. It just freezes when the Lenovo logo is displayed. I have tried a factory reset from the boot menu, cache wiping etc. The warranty is already expired, of course.
I could imagine to install a completely fresh Android from the SD card but I can not find any download link. Lenovo only offers the source codes. How nice, but I need the readily compiled version...
Any suggestions are very appreciated!

Have you tried downloading this Android Lollipop 5.0 source code from support.lenovo.com.
Here's a guide on how to install the ROM from the SD card.
Hope this helps

thanks for this fast response!
So you say I can install the souce codes directly without compiling in advance? Are they compiled during installation?
This is a quite new information to me and would indeed solve my problem.

Doesn't seem like I can install the source code directly. That would have been a wonder
Any other links? Isn't there any single pre-compiled android package for my tablet out there?
Th enext question would be: how can I contact Lenovo when my warranty is expired? I always return back to this forum or a page saying that my warranty is expired. No mail, no phone, no chance to contact Lenovo directly so far. There also doesn't seem to be a local dealer near me...

Well thanks for your descriptions but there you said (russian website) I found these two lines:
It means that I can't do any things!?
the android version is 4.4.2 ... my tablet got stuck on an update (12MB) auto download... auto restart...reboot... then update installation failure...
It's annoying me every hour...
Help me what should I do...?!
