Re: Yoga Tablet 2 series Android 5 Lollipop experiences and problems

Breathing light doesn't work for Inbox and facebook messenger. I reckon it worked on kit-kat for emails, but i am not sure

May I ask you, which notifications are compatible with LED light? I would like to test it on my tablet. Thank you.

I've had a really great experience since the lollipop upgrade. The tablet is a lot more responsive and the battery life is so much better. Whereas I was alarmed by the battery drain on standby, its now almost almost iPad levels. I also like the almost stock andoid UI.  So far so good.  The only problem I encountered was when trying to restart 2 days after I upgraded, it froze but hope that's a one off.  Right now, this tablet is exceeding what I hoped it would be prior to purchase. Only a few days in but looking good.

I couldn't agree more!

Re: Yoga Tablet 2 series Android 5 Lollipop experiences and problems

Hi all,

Just bought myself a Yoga 2 tablet, after being let down by Toshiba and their lack of software support. Happy with everything so far, with the exception of the hideous launcher (or lack of). Just wondering, did the lollipop update bring in the standard menu launcher at all?

Thanks.

Fantastic news.

Thanks for the quick response. Looking forward to the pending re-release of the update in that case.

It's still an unwieldy UI.  I use Nova Launcher and find it to be a vast improvement. You can download it for free from the Play Store. At the same time try out SwiftKey  keyboard- again a vast improvement.

It's stll a weird mix between vibeui and stock. I actually miss the VibeUI feel and the "swipe up" menu. I sometimes still swipe up when i want to turn the wi-fi on.

I can live with the original launcher, as long as it has an app drawer to be honest. The current look makes everything look extremely cluttered. I like to keep widgets separate from all icons.
