Re: micro sd card unmounts itself on yoga 2 10 inch

I have a Yoga2-830F_S000174_140822, which I have been happy with for a few months. I just bought a Sandisk 64 gb Ultra mixroSDXC UHS-I card, and wish I had seen this thread before purchasing it. I put it into the tablet, but NOTHING happens. I tried it in my Galaxy Note 3 and it's fine.
Any further news on this problem? Tomorrow I will try to reformat it and see what that does - can anyone help with instructions or a link to software to do that ? (reformat)? Thanks!

Sorry for typing error; it's a Sandisk 64 gb Ultra microSDXC UHS-I card.

dude, get rid of your Lenovo as soon as you can. The tech support is
non-existant.

A new procedure has been devised to support issue resolution on Yoga Tablet 2 Android products.

It would help the investigation if several customers would be willing to provide logs capturing the failure event for Yoga Tablet 2 8 F/L , Yoga Tablet 2 10 F/L, and Yoga Tablet 2 Pro-1380 models.

To capture logs, please follow this procedure: http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/tablets/yoga-series/yoga-tablet-2-830/documents/HT103449

Once you have collected the logs, please zip the files and attach them to an email which can then be sent to forumspi@lenovo.com. If the file is too large to send, please provide a link to the hosted file.

With the email, please include the following information:

Name:

Forums User ID:

Model:

S/N:

Discussion Link: https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Android-Yoga-Series-Tablets/micro-sd-card-unmounts-itself-on-yoga-2-10-inch/td-p/1784157

A description of the failure and any other information you would like to share:

MicroSD card in use:

Zipped attachment or link to hosted file:

Once I receive multiple logs, I will open cases for each model reported and attach the information you provided.

Thank you for your assistance,

Yes, I am facing this issue in A 7000. I have used Sandisk 16 GB memory card in Blackberry and Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo; but haven't faced any issue like automatic card unmounting. Its strange.

I've received two email from customers providing logs but it would really help this pervasive issue investigation to receive a few more.

They can be emailed to forumspi@lenovo.com.

Thank you for your assistance,

Is there anyone running Lollipop who would be able to provide logs of this issue?

I provided a set of KitKat and Lollipop logs from one customer to the development team and they would appreciate receiving an additional Lollipop log from a different customer.

Thank you,

Mine is a Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 Pro 13", and I'm having the same problem with a Samsung 64GB micro SD card. I also tried the Samsung 32GB micro SD card from my Samsung phone which has the same problem. Both cards work fine in my phone. A SanDisk 16GB micro SD card worked fine in the Lenovo tablet. Any ideas before I send the tablet off for repair?
