Kindle for Android

2010-07-18, 21:20 PM

I recently received an email from Amazon.com that they now had a free "kindle for android" app. They said it was on the marketplace  but I cannot find it. Thheir customer service, both email and telephonically said go to amazon.com/kindleforandroid page. I did, both on my Backflip and my pc. There is a link to the software, and it routs to a nice page to download but it winds up unfound. Amazon support says contacy Android support (I don't know why as the alleged download is on an Amazon page) or wait and keep trying.

I don't know the value of trying to read a book on the Backflip page (one sentence and flip the page) but it might be worth a try.

Has anyone else tried this with success?

Thanks, Marvin.

Probably should have waited for my contract to expire and get a different android phone other than the Backflip. It's nice but...

There will always be another 'cooler' phone that comes out. I do believe that we will see Android 2.1 on our phones. There are other book readers available.

Yah, I'm starting to lose track of the number of threads I'm seeing here asking "who is ditching the BackFlip when <supernewkewlphone> comes out?"
