Copy the files on your SD Card to your computer then disconnect your phone from the computer.

Then from one of the home screens go to

  • Menu
  • Settings
  • SD card & Storage
  • Unmount SD card
  • Format SD card

The card will be formatted and then re-mounted.

Connect your phone to your computer and copy all your stuff back.

It's a good idea if you create content on your phone that's saved to the SD card to back your files up periodically.

In my experience, it is always a good idea to eject the phone in windows before disconecting it or else it corupts the SD card. The phone doesnt seem to report that there is a problem but the phone will not recgonize data just put on the card.

Sounds like you may need a new SD card.

Thanks,
