Text Messages in "Messages"

2011-03-22, 6:25 AM

I do not want to get notification on my "Messages". I thought this was connected to Moto Blur but when I get to where everything is linked there is no Text Message options. Just Moto Blur account, yahoo...etc.

I don't mind getting the status bar notification...I just don't want the entire message displayed in my messages.

Any ideas?

Harry145 - I used to use Handcent SMS but deleted it to free up memory on my phone to make it run better, but now the regular messaging system built into Android 2.1 on this phone is slowing down and not working... so I may go back to that as well. I have been looking at several messaging and SMS apps, so do you think Handcent is the best one to go with? It seems the others require that you set up a username and you can only add other users.... Handcent was great in that you didn't have to do that....

Thanks for the thought!
