MP3 Ringtones

I'm trying to use an mp3 as a ringtone for the backflip, but the option isn't there through AT&T music, which doesn't allow me to set a song as a ringtone. I downloaded Ringdroid and that enables me to set an mp3 as a ringtone, but not a text message alert. I googled and found this response https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/41259/~/backflip---ringtones.... but it was not at all helpful as it does not seem to work for me. Any suggestions on what can be done? Listening to lame text tones is becoming most annoying!

Re: MP3 Ringtones

You can try putting the files you want to use for notifications into a folder on your SD card named 'notifications' and the ones you want to use for ringtones in a folder called 'ringtones'.

If that doesn't work for you with the larger files you can use Rings Extended.

Re: MP3 Ringtones

Thanks much! I downloaded the Ringdroid app and that one seems to have solved my problems for the while.
