3G Watchdog

2011-06-26, 21:04 PM

I upgraded to the new version of 3G Watchdog; however it does not update the traffic volume. After 4 days, I still show 0 as traffic total.

I have uninstalled and installed again but same results - ZERO traffic content.

Has anyone had this problem or is there a switch to "turn-on" the counter?

Thanks, y'all!

Also check and make sure your quota units are MB not GB. Let us know how you are doing with this. I like 3GW.

The "HOME" screen indicates "B" in all 4 traffic counters - even after I access "Set Quota Counters". I chnage "B" to "MB", select "SET" but HOME screen remains set to "B" on all 4 counters.

Also, the PLAN quota was set and displays 200MB - not "B".

Re" version", I am using the free version and it appears to be 0.28.2

I love technology! :-)

Thanks for help, guys!

A short update...

I have re-installed 3G (Free) again and the counters remain set at "B".

I click on each data type (Quota, Today, Week, Month) and gain access to the counter. I chnage from the default "B" to "MB", hit "Set" and it returns to 3H homescreen.

Alas, the counters remain at "B".

Also, not even sure if 3G is even counting the traffic.

All was OK with previous 3G version and problems began with the uograde to the new version.

Any help will be appreciated - thanks!

freeperjim, It sounds like you have done all the things you can do. V0.28.2 is the latest version for the free 3GW. It might be time to drop the developer Richard Gruet a line. He is pretty helpful and there are over 1 million downloads of 3GW out there.   contact@3gwatchdog.fr         Let us know how you make out. Mike

UPDATE

I emailed Richard at 3GW who responded very timely and, as an entrepreneur myself who imports/distributes ultra highend audio components, I was quite impressed with that level of support and know how important both product & customer support can be for the long term success of any venture!

Richard provided a number of suggestions re: system settings that, in tandem of rebooting, finally resolved any outstanding issue.

FYI - the traffic counters are chosen automatically by the 3GW software so my attempts at changing was useless. Now all counters are working as expected and staying very close to actual ATT data usage updates.

I would like to publicly offer my heartfelt "Thank you" to Richard for taking time out of his schedule to offer his assistance in resolving my counter problem.

I highly recommend 3GW and will be purchasing his Upgrade version to offer my support to his wonderful product.

This helped me too
