How to silence Notifications?

2011-07-20, 19:48 PM

This is getting very annoying. I've been able to silence Notifications in email, and some other apps.

But there seems no way to silence Notifications in the general menu. That is, Notifications in Settings. "Silent" is not a choice.

Ideas?

How about under sound settings and using Silent mode? Alternately you can use the slide lock/unlock control  to silence the phone by sliding the speaker Icon (right side) towards the lock. I use this in movies etc which allows the phone to vibrate but that is all.

Good Luck.

topjobsman, Individual volumes for functions can be controlled under "settings"- "sound"-"volume". Ringtone, media, alarm, and notification volumes can all be adjusted individually. Use the slider bar to set notification volume all the way down and you shouldn't be able to hear it. Let us know if this does not resolve your issue. Mike
