Lenovo Flex System Fabric EN4093R 10Gb is not function properly.

HI Team,

there is no resilience network connections that the blade server hosted in pureflex chassis. the network  configuration for the i/o module bay 1 and  2 are same. I can't ping from windows os blade, etherenet interface 1 and 3  but  2 and 4 is working.

can you advice how to fix this issue.

Need more logs:

1) Blade portable-DSA log (including windows log)

2) Both EN4093R switch logs.

  • If the switch is in IBMNOS mode, from the root of the main menu type /maint/tsdmp
  • If the switch is in iscli mode (cisco mode), type enable, then show tech-support

One probably cause:

Has only one blade the problem or all blades?

 

If the issue occure on all blades, advice to check IOMod #1 external ports status.

If port EXT1 down, failover will be triggered, then all controlled members ports are down. Traffic will transfer to another EN4093R switch.

 

If the issue occure on one specific blade, other blades with same configuration are normal. Advice to investigater host side further.

switch logs are attached. I found this issue on all the blades.  I will run dsa on one of the windows blades and upload it here.

I am suspecting that VLAN 4082 being the native vlan to port EXT1-EXT4 is not passing the ingress traffic of vport 2 (6Gb)  to its uplink switch, where as vport 1 with VLAN 4081 (ingress) are working fine (4G).  -- Please check if this is correct. 

If so, can you try adding 'tag-pvid' command on EXT1-EXT4 on both the switches,

Please let me know if this helps, or share more details as in which UFP ports from the switch are working and which are not, so we look further only that direction.
