Tethering will be available in Android 2.2 which will be available soon for most phones.  T-Mobile does allow tethering on the HTC HD2 which is a new Windows Mobile phone.   Once 2.2 is on a phone it will automatically become a wireless hotspot, can the carrier disable this feature? I don't know.

I thought it was funny,  I'd say 2.2 second quarter 2011 give or take a quarter. Actually I think we'll know when 2.1 is released if Moto doesn't keep up with the features on new phones people will abandon Motorola.  I don't care what kind of new phone they come out with, until they get the CLIQ straight they're off my list.

There is (was?) an app called EasyTether in the Market -- the free version of seems to be similar to PDAnet.  I've installed both, haven't tried them yet as I was mainly looking for a way to use WiFi tethering.  All I really want to do is allow my iPod Touch to connect through my phone, so I should think that would not be alot of bandwidth.

I told you, they said it was ok lol and you guys wanted employee names and numbers lmao, I have tethering built into the build on my cliq, however there is also a app caled pdanet i think, not 100% sure on the name. Theres also a app for wifi tethering witch i use, it turns my cliq into a wireless router, i think its better then the hardwire tethering...
