Cliq doesn't work with Plantronics 360 headset

My phone wouldn't pair with the headset. It wouldn't even recognize it when I scan for the device.

Re: Cliq doesn't work with Plantronics 360 headset

If the Plantronics is in discoverable/pairing mode and you put something else in the room (another phone or bluetooth device) also in pairing mode, does the phone find the other device? Are you tapping search and the phone says "searching"

Yes, my Cliq would recognize my other cell phone, while in pairing mode, but not the headset. Yes, it does say that it is searching when i hit search.

Re: Cliq doesn't work with Plantronics 360 headset

Can you turn off your other phone. Can you reset a Plantronics headset so it doesn't have any phones in it's memory then try searching again?

It actually says "scanning" when I hit the "scan for devices" button. It also recognizes my macbook as well, but not the headset.

Ok, I turned off both my macbook and cell phone and rescanned and it did not work. The headset manual doesn't state a scenario where I can disconnect previous devices it was paired to.

Re: Cliq doesn't work with Plantronics 360 headset

I had exactly the same problem when attempting to pair my Dext with a Plantronics 370 for the first time, it wouldn't discover the 370 at all.

I resolved it by rebooting everything: turning the 370 off, turning off bluetooth, restarting the Dext, restarting bluetooth and scanning for devices and putting the 370 into pairing mode.

It now works as intended and has no problem reconnecting when switching the 370 on/coming back into range etc.

I appreciate the advice, but that hasn't worked for me. I wish it was as simple as a power cycle issue. I tried it again just to be sure but still nothing.

Re: Cliq doesn't work with Plantronics 360 headset

1. Is the phone the headset was connected to still on. If so, turn it off.

2. Can you pair your 360 successfully to a friends phone? If not then the headset is probably having an issue or you aren't successfully getting the headset into pairing mode.

3. Can your Macbook find your 360?

4. Can you borrow a friends Bluetooth Headset, put it in pairing mode and have the CLIQ phone search for it?

Re: Cliq doesn't work with Plantronics 360 headset

Thanks Mark for your reply. Unfortunately it hasn't resolved my issue. To answer your questions:

1. Yes, I turned off the phone.

2. I have paired the 360 with my friends phone.

3. My Macbook does recognize the 360.

4. I have successfully paired my friends Bluetooth Headset with my phone.
