Re: Devour: Exchange Sync, Can Inbox folders be sync'd?

2010-03-31, 16:13 PM

Thank you all for the suggestion about the sub-folders. I removed them and email came in beautifully. Now one more question... is it possible to receive incoming messages more often than every 15 minutes on the Devour?

I have removed the sub folders from the inbox only. The inbox will not sync. The subfolders in other folders, sent items etc update fine

now that you have removed the folders. Delete your Exchange account from your phone, then if you have Exchange 2007, you can go into owa and see your mobile devices under the options tab then mobile devices. Click to remove your existing ones, but don't do the whip, no need for that. Then readd the Exchange Mail Account and your inbox should start syncing.... At least i hope for your sake because i know that is a big headache when it isn't working.

Mark, you indicate that you use Google Apps ... I am trying to get the google apps equivalent GAL to be searched from the native apps ... is that available now?

Google Apps when setup in Gmail doesn't work. However if you have Google apps you might be able to use the Corporate Sync option on your phone (m.google.com) and then use benefit from the GAL lookup. I assume all Google Apps accounts are on Exchange 2007+

Mark,

Thanks!  While I doubt very much that Google Apps has a Microsoft OS anywhere on the backend [you may know something I don't], your answer was exactly what I needed to know (whatever directory services they are using works great through the corporate sync client).  I had tried using imap.gmail.com ... but that gave me an error ... m.google.com works great.  Also, I wasn't sure about the gmail client on Android (for the purpose of accessing the GAL in an integrated fashion) ... Thanks for clearing that up also.

Regards,

Patrick
