Re: Bluetooth Problem - Driver for BT peripheral device not found - Win7

I only had one bluetooth peripheral device doing the same as above, then bought the xoom, now one for Droid2 and one for xoom exist in the device list and same thing, all I can get to work are audio things, no file i/o or object push. I had been using the broadcom now in Win7, but had similar issue in WinXP and wincom did not solve it. On the droid2 I forgot about it as I was using the media and DLNA things (WiFi) and usb. Did not get that far yet with xoom - except usb file transferes.

Re: Bluetooth Problem - Driver for BT peripheral device not found - Win7

Others are reporting that this driver worked then stopped after a windows update:

There are some fixes listed in the thread.

For BT file transfer, you may need the free app from the Android Market "Bluetooth File Transfer" as it is not built into most phones.

Re: Bluetooth Problem - Driver for BT peripheral device not found - Win7

I had the error message referring to the Windows 7 Bluetooth Peripheral Driver. This worked for me:

http://zoom.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1039/~/connecting-the-wireless-zoom-headset-to-a-wi...

Note that the post sends you to the 32-bit Microsoft driver package at

http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=14

I ended up downloaded the 64-bit at

http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=21783

Re: Bluetooth Problem - Driver for BT peripheral device not found - Win7

I tried these solutions. dont seem to work. I'm having the asme problem as the initial question. Windows tries to find BT Prripheral Drivers but can't. Tried re-pairing. Re-pairing works, system cant find drivers. Normaly the divice manufacturer, Motorola in this case, provides the necessary drivers, just like they did for the USB connection.  It would be nice if they would make it easy on all of us and write the neccessary driver to allow our Droid phone to comunicate with our Windows 7 (64 bit) computers via BT in addition to USB.
