Hate to ruin anyones good time but Exchange 2010 100% has the same "never

pushes" issues as 2007. I have both in my enviroment and even moved my

mailbox back and forth a couple times to try and find a server related

issue with no luck. Hopefully the fix for one is thefix for both but that

reasoning does not really play well with what my tinkering had found.

This news makes me happy to know that they are trying to resolve this.  Any chance Matt to could confirm the FRG22 fix for the Droid 2? 

Unfortunatley, I have also been witness to the issue on both environments.

Any updates on this?    I tried to use touchdown and personally think it is a miserable app.  I just want my phone to properly sync email.  Even every 15 minutes on a schedule would be suitable.

I've used TouchDown for almost a year (trouble free) on on my previous D1 and current D2.  It's been a great app and well worth the price just in aggravation not experienced, in my opinion.  I've tried "Improved email"  and the native Exchange apps on Andoird 2.1 and 2.2 and none have the feature set of TouchDown.  And TouchDown properly configured uses less power than any of the others I've tried.  I've found both the inbox and calendar widgets convenient as well.  Your method may vary. - MarkC

The FRG22D (Froyo) upgrade applies to Droid only, not to Droid 2 or Droid X.  It does indeed have some issues and we are working with Google to have them fixed.

Even though Droid 2 has and Droid X will get Android 2.2 "Froyo", users will not see the same email sync issues as on Droid upgraded to 2.2 Froyo.  We are incorporating some fixes to improve the Push experience in the upcoming Froyo release for Droid X (these fixes have or will be in Droid 2 as well).

I have been following this problem on the Droid X forum and looks like those folks are having the same problems with push email and the "new" froyo on their phones as well.  i am sure moto is well aware of this by now and just wondering if you have an update?  i have now resorted to 3rd party app called improved email nd has no issues with push.  i think it would make us all feel better if we had a timeline from moto!

I have the same issue.  Before Froyo I was not able to connect to my Exchange 2003 server and was using Touchdown.  After the Froyo update I was able to connect, and, with high hopes, uninstalled Touchdown.  Now my e-mail is only pushed intermittently.  I am probably going to have to reinstall Touchdown which I would rather not do because I really like how my calendars all sync with the native app.  Any fix for this on the horizon any time soon?

On Droid X, and I've noticed since the update that the push is VERY intermittent.  I'll be working at my computer and answering emails, then I'll get up to go do work around the building and look at my phone and notice that emails haven't sync'd for hours or the since the last time I looked on my phone, whichever is shorter.

...I have to change my email password every 3 months.  I got my D2 about 3 weeks ago, and email was pushing flawlessly until I changed my exchange password.  I immediately got a login error on my D2 - so I went in and changed the password. Now, email doesn't push at all (not even intermittently).  I have to go into 'Email' and sync manually to get to emails.

Things I've tried:

-Deleted/re-added exchange account (4-5 times)

-Went into Application Management and cleared data on any application that looks related to email, re-added account.

-Factory reset and re-added account

Nothing has worked.

I read on a related DroidX thread that people have had similar situations in which the first time the account is added/logged into, it works flawlessly.  Subsequent attempts to re-add accounts result in broken push functionality.

This is pretty ridiculous stuff, Moto.  I never had issues on my D1 - why did you even mess with the stock Android Exchange client?

I can't say thank you enough to NitroDesk and their Touchdown app.  Finally EAS works as it does on every other device.
