In order to get the Share feature in the Menu you have to have the appointment or event opened. You cannot be looking at the month and see the Share option. Click on the specific event you want to share and then tap on Menu and you should see the Share feature. Hope this helps.

I find it easier to just share my calendar with my wife and vice versa. You must set this up in your Gmail account via a web browser, though. Hope this helps.

Thanks Joel.  I have done that and works well.  I was using the Google calendar and no share in the menu.  Went back to the original without the blue bar and share is there with the event open.  Ver. 4.4.4-21.  That now looks like cobra venom's screenshot.

Hi,

I promise my share feature is gone. No more, no how.

How do I take a screen shot and attach it to a post?

By the way, I can share September 1(Labor Day). The block is lit up bright green, whwhereas, all other calendar appointments are dark green.

To take a screen shot press the power button and volume down at the same time. The dark green indicates that it is your device calendar. I just created an event using the device calendar and you're right I don't have a share option with that. I'm not sure why it isn't there for device calendar appointments.

Should I uninstall my Calendar updates and go back to Version 4.4.4-21? My calendar is currently 4.4.4-21.

Should I just download Google Calendar instead?

The only calendar you can share is Google calendars. Device calendars are local calendars only, therefore, not sharable.

You need to start using Google to get sharing. Hope this helps.

It's a matter of personal choice.  Which one do you like better?  I disabled the stock calendar and have been using the new Google Calendar 5.0 (with material design).  It takes some getting used to at first, but I kind of like it over the stock calendar.  But, as @joelbon pointed out...even the Google Calendar app will not "share" events if that app is not set to sync & display your G Mail / Google calendar.  With the Google Calendar app synced to my G Mail / Google calendar, I can invite others to my calendar events...but cannot invite others if I create the event as a "Phone Calendar" only event type.
