2011-09-19, 21:00 PM

Since the bionic has the front facing camera can it be used to do face to face conversation with other Bionic better yet to iPhone users?

Yep, Google Talk (listed as "Talk") in preinstalled, and supports video chat. There are other options also...

We'll the Google site only talks about using computers, and when I open "Talk" all I get is something that looks like a text window. Can't find any help on it's use.

When you open Talk you should see a list of your Google Talk friends. If they have a little camera icon it means they can video chat with you, and if it's green they are online and available.

You can find more help here, but agree that it's a bit computer-centric.

Please do not PM me - if you have issues, search the forums for threads on your topic and post there, or start a new thread. Thanks!

There's also a great (free) 3rd party app called "Tango" that does video chat.  The developers are very agressive about adding new phones with front facing cameras as they are introduced, so if the Bionic isn't supported yet, it will be.  With Tango, you create a call list of other Tango equipped users and connection is then simple and quick.  There's a free iPhone version of the app too.  The appbrain.com page for it is here:  http://www.appbrain.com/app/tango-voice-video-calls/com.sgiggle.production - MarkC
