At about 3pm yesterday, my phone shutoff then came back on. I thought this was some kind of system upgrade. When I got home, I kept getting "We're sorry, xxxx app is not working". Several of them flashed. I couldn't open Facebook, gmail, anything. I shut it off, turned it back on, and the screen froze in the lit black mode. I took it to the Verizon store, where they did a soft reset. It froze on the light blue Motorola logo screen. The useless guy at the counter said it had to have a hard/factory reset. I didn't have their phone insurance, so I was pretty much wasting his time.
I've gone to the menu to try that, but it just goes back to the same logo screen. The battery gets alarmingly hot as well. I've been to several forums that all say to do some type of reset, but those options don't work.
