I am currently having a problem with my CEO's phone. When trying to send an email from contacts (Contacts>select contact>select contacts email) it goes directly to an SMS screen. It then(if you are not paying attention) sends the message as a text to email with "phonenumber"@vtext.com (Verizon Wireless is the carrier). I hope this makes sense. If you have any questions please post. Android Version is Gingerbread 2.3.3 / System Version 4.6.8.XT610.Verizon.en.US / Build Number 4.5.1-110-VNS-22

If it is going to the Text Messaging app than try going to Settings>Apps>All>Text Messaging>Clear defaults. The next time that you tap on Email than you should get the choose an application pop up. At that point you can set it to an Email account instead of texting. Hope this helps.
